OHR spokesman Bullivant said that Tudjman’s recent speech at the HDZ assembly put under serious doubts Tudjman’s devotion for the Peace Process. Yesterday’s meeting of HR Westendorp and Tudjman, where Tudjman expressed Croatian readiness for the DPA implementation, was opposite to the chauvinist, inflammable and ultra-nationalist comments of Franjo Tudjman. HR Westendorp will report on his meeting with Tudjman at the Contact Group meeting in Moscow. HR deputy Klein and OSCE Ambassador, Berry were also present at the meeting in Zagreb.

OSCE Ambassador Berry met with Croatian President Tudjman discussing, among other matters, the problems of the elections results implementation. Berry said that most of these problems were caused because of HDZ absence from negotiations or obstructions, adding that on the list of municipalities for possible arbitration decision, two thirds are those with HDZ problems. Other items on the agenda were return of refugees, police restructuring, freedom of movement and border crossing for BiH citizens and the media.

BiH President Izetbegovic met with the US Ambassador Kauzlarich, discussing the matters of strengthening of the Federation, BiH institutions, the Sarajevo Declaration, and Gelbard’s meeting with FRY President Milosevic were subjects of the meeting. Izetbegovic also met with French Ambasador Gaudeul.

BiH Presidency member Zubak met with Croat delegation from Bugojno, discussing the matters of election results implementation, and activities that would enable return of Croats to Bugojno. CoM Co-chairman Silajdzic met with OSCE Ambassador Berry. The main subjects of the discussion were the next elections in BiH, and ensuring the election system that will not allow misuse. The matter of BiH TV was also discussed. Silajdzic also received HR deputy Schumacher and discussed the work on drafts of basic laws and international conventions implementation in BiH. Silajdzic said that misuse of the state in regard with its property causes creation of undefined property and legal situation in the country.

BiH Parliament Collegium agreed on the date and agenda of the forthcoming session of both Parliament Houses. At the meeting in OHR, it was agreed that the session of HoR will be held in Lukavica on March 5, and the matters of foreign investments, BiH flag, and landmines prohibition will be discussed. Session of the HoP will be held on March 6 in Sarajevo.

The First Banja Luka Trade Fair was opened in Sarajevo today. HR deputy Klein said that BiH must be a country with full freedom of movement and trade, and I will make all efforts to make this reality. Federation Prime Minister praised the idea on connecting the two cities. This fair includes 60 Banja Luka enterprises.
