OHR announced that the HR Westendorp will pass the decision on the new currency design, after Krajisnik refused to agree with the current proposals. The HR also addressed a letter to the RS President Plavsic, and the People’s Assembly President, Kalinic, in which Westendorp says that OHR and OSCE will not recognize the Parliament of the RS until its third deputy president is elected from the Coalition for Democratic and United BiH.

Former Montenegrin Pesident, Bulatovic recognised the legitimacy of the new President Djukanovic. The inauguration of the new President was done at 17:00 in Cetinje. US Special Envoy, Gelbard stated in Belgrade that the US considers Milosevic responsible for the violent demonstrations in Podgorica. The Belgrade TV announced that Montenegro authorities closed all borders towards BiH. All private cars and regular buses were turned back.

The Society of Moslems for Anti-genocide Activities published “Bosnian Book of Dead”, those killed between 1992 and 1995. Based upon uncompleted data from the book, 7626 persons were killed in Sarajevo only. 4206 persons died of shrapnel, while 994 were killed by snipers.

SFOR confiscated about two tons of weaponry from seven Serb houses in village Paklenica, 10 KM Southeast from strategic city of Doboj, in the separation zone. Nordic-Polish SFOR brigade confiscated all kinds of weapons except tanks and heavy artillery. SFOR representative said that most of the weapons were concealed in cellars and barns, and are functional. SFOR representative also said that the people in whose houses the weaponry was found were happy to get rid of it.

The Government of the Herzegovina/Neretva Canton accepted the draft plan on general return of refugees to this canton. The Canton Government will not support the eviction orders to the refugees in temporary accommodation, before accommodation is found in the place they lived before. The Government also discussed the matter of the work of Canton ministries.

162 Abdic supporters returned from the refugee camp Gasinci, in Croatia, to Velika Kladusa, and they represented the last group of Abdic’s supporters from this camp.
The term for payment on an apartment in Sarajevo Canton will be 20 years. Representatives of the Canton Ministry for Urban Issues presented the factors that will be included in the calculation of an apartment price. The price of an apartment will be equal to the result of the coefficients of an apartment state and location, multiplied with the construction price of a square meter, which is 600 DEM.

UNTAES’ mandate in Croatia expired. Croatia now has sovereignty over the whole territory. The celebration of the authority hand-over was carried out in Vukovar Almost all Croatian leadership were present, except for President Tudjman. US Special Envoy, Gelbard was also present at the occasion.
