RS National Assembly had no constitutional right to discuss BiH Presidency decision on charges against Yugoslavia – SDA

The RS National Assembly had no constitutional right to discuss the BiH Presidency decision regarding the BiH lawsuit against Yugoslavia, SDA Vice-president Sulejman Tihic stated at a press conference in Sarajevo on Monday. According to the Dayton Agreement, an entity’s Parliament can revoke a decision of the BiH Presidency with a 2/3 majority, but the BiH Presidency did not reach a decision at the last session only a conclusion regarding the lawsuit against Yugoslavia at the International Court of Justice. A conclusion cannot be discussed at the parliament of an entity because it cannot threaten essential national interests of an entity, Tihic concluded.

The reason for the request, according to the Forum, is the fact that Radisic’s activities draw BiH away from the European and world integration processes.
