The Minister for Collaboration and Development of the Kingdom of Holland, Pronk visited Sarajevo, where he met the BiH highest officials. Pronk expressed the readiness of the Holland Government to assist BiH in the future period. Pronk responded positively to the request of the Mostar Mayor Orucevic to mediate with the Holland Government in order to assist the repairs of Croat houses in Eastern Mostar.

BiH President Izetbegovic met with the US Ambassador Kauzlarich. Kauzlarich informed Izetbegovic about the next week’s visit of the US Special Envoy for the DPA implementation, Gelbard. The main issues were the deadlines of the previously agreed matters, regarding the joint currency, registration plates, and the naming of the ambassadors in BiH. BiH Presidency member Zubak also discussed the remained obligations with Kauzlarich. Federal Prime-Minister Bicakcic also talked to Kauzlarich about the civilian part of the DPA implementation, stressing the matter of the housing regulations. CoM Co-chairman Silajdzic received a visit of the British Ambassador Crawford, discussing the matters of discordance between the constitutions of the entities.

BiH FA Minister, Prlic stated that according to the Law on the CoM, there is an obligation for the CoM to pass a decision on internal organisation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Sarajevo Canton Government adopted the regulation for payment of the apartments. The regulation covers the term of 20 years maximum for complete pay for an apartment. The payments will be in 20 equal annual instalments, with 0.8% of interest rates per year.

Zlatko Aleksovski trial continued today in Hague. The prosecutors stated that the prisoners in the camp Kaonik were inhumanly treated and interrogated, used as living shields, tormented and killed during the command of Aleksovski.

The Constitutive session of the RS Parliament, scheduled for January 12, should be a live broadcast, as said by OHR Spokesman Haselock. Haselock added that the Office will do everything possible to ensure this transmission. Haselock also said that the international supervisor for the Serb TV in Banja Luka will be announced soon, and will have the authority to break the contracts with journalists who do not respect the standards of the professional journalism.

Belgrade’s daily “Vecernje Novosti” published that the ultra-nationalists from Pale will soon establish a private TV. RS Minister for Information, Siljegovic was announced the manager of this channel, which will be called the ‘S’ channel, and should start broadcasting from next week.

Croatian officials addressed the official answer to the BiH Ambassador in Zagreb, Trnka, on his request to explain the decision that excluded Bosniaks from the Croatian Constitution. One of the first reactions came from the Reis-Ul-Ulema Mustafa Efendi Ceric, who said that exclusion of Bosniak people from the Croatian Constitution represents another proof that official Zagreb has continued its policy regarding the Bosniaks in Croatia.
