Sarajevo

It was announced yesterday that border experts established borders between BiH and the Republic of Croatia. At today’s session of the BiH Council of Ministers, more information was presented. The RS member of the Mixed State Commission for Borders asked for the change of the border on the River Una.

This was followed by a report on the talk between the British Deputy Foreign Minister, Tony Lloyd, and the BiH Council of Ministers Co-Chairmen, Haris Silajdzic and Svetozar Mihajlovic. The main topic of the conversation was the Pact of Stability.

Representative House of the BiH Federation Parliament adopted draft law on Intelligence and Security Service of the BiH Federation. The participants agreed that this could be a solid base for the law.

Gracanica (Serbia)

More than a hundred Serbs clashed with the participants of the press conference organised by the Leader of the Serbian opposition, Zoran Dindic, in Gracanica. The incident occurred after the meeting between the leader of the Serb Orthodox Church and the opposition delegation in Kosovo.

Montenegro

A report on the visit of the parliamentary delegation from Montenegro to Sarajevo. The delegation met with the BiH Parliament representatives. Details of the meeting were not announced although it was said that co-operation had begun between the two states. OBN journalist and presenter, Danijela Bozic, produced a report on the current situation in Montenegro, and the capital, Podgorica.

Mostar

The first session of the Croat Forum scheduled for Friday in Sarajevo, has been postponed. Advisor of the BiH Presidency Chairman, Tihomir Begic, explained reasons for that in a phone call for OBN.

World

A report on the peace agreement reached in the capital of Zambia about clashes in Zair was followed by a report on the Middle East peace process, a ship accident near the Swedish coast and the USA President visiting the “Indian Land”.

Banja Luka

A piece on the press conference held by the Association of Returnees to Banja Luka today. The President of the Association, Kemal Gunic, said that 63 Bosniak families have returned to the town up to date. The humanitarian organisation “Merhamet” received five thousand applications for return to the RS.

Prozor

Return of the Bosniak refugees to the Prozor Municipality continues. Yesterday, the return process began in three villages in the area. The Municipality Council representatives said that they did not receive help from the Federal Government.

Doboj

A report on exhumation activities of the Federal Commission for Missing People in the villages Makljenovac and Prisade. The team started exhumation of Croat bodies in the Doboj area.

Sarajevo

The USA Information Service in Sarajevo, organised a reception for 28 scholarship holders for 1999 as well as for those who successfully finished their schooling in the USA. The USA Ambassador in BiH; Richard Kauzlarich, was present at the reception.
