This is the warmest July in B&H in the last 112 years. The Ministry of Health suggested proclamation of a state of emergency, in order to protect citizens’ health. Reported by Mirna Sadikovic.

Travnik

Three unidentified persons robbed a cashier of the company “Borac”. They took KM 421 000 from him, which were to be spent for salaries. Immediately after the robbery, all roads around Travnik were blocked. The police arrested two suspects, but they still do not have any official proves, Ana Drmac confirmed.

The police in Konjic arrested the Turkish citizen, Hussein Engin.

Sarajevo

The Director of “BH Gas”, Zijad Bajramovic said that the delivery of gas to B&H would not be stopped, if they paid all debts to “Gas Export” in Moscow. According to “BH Gas”, prices of gas will decrease in the beginning of next year. Reported by Adis Saranovic.

The Tax Administration will continue their control in “Dnevni Avaz” for 1998, 1999 and 2000 in November. They found KM 2,5 million of unregistered revenue for 1997. “Dnevni Avaz” has the obligation to pay tax in the amount of KM 928 000. Mensur Osmovic, the editor in chief of “Dnevni Avaz” said that the Federation Prime Minister, Edhem Bicakcic offered to make a deal with them, and not to reveal the control results to the public. Banja Luka

The RS Customs Service rejected all accusations that were presented against them by Dragan Cavic at the RS Assembly Session. The Customs Director, Vojin Bera demanded that their representative attend the Assembly session, in order to deny the accusations. Tatjana Lajsic produced the report.

The Assistant to the Head of SFOR Headquarters for Support, Enrico Muselin informed the Director of the RS Railways, Marinko Biljanovic that there would be no problems in railway traffic through SFOR basis “Komanchi”, near Tuzla. The report was produced by Svjetlana Celic-Ninkovic.

World

The Deputy Main ICTY Prosecutor announced that indictments against Slobodan Milosevic and four other officials would be expanded after completion of exhumations in Kosovo.

One person was killed and three were injured in a shooting in the “Mc Donalds” restaurant in Budapest this morning.

The police and demonstrators clashed again in Belfast, because of the prohibition of a protestant march, which was supposed to take place on Sunday.

The Russian and Chinese presidents emphasised the importance of the Russian- Chinese partnership.

The US President, Bill Clinton announced that the Near East Summit would take place on 11th July in the USA.

The situation in Europe is very serious, because of high temperatures, which caused numerous fires. Zeljka Lekic produced the report.

Deadline for registration of political parties and coalitions expired today at 5 p.m. The OSCE will announce the number of registered parties tomorrow. Most parties will not form any coalitions before the elections. Reported by Damir Kaletovic.
