Sarajevo

During his last visit to BiH as the NATO General Secretary, Javier Solana emphasized that progress was made in the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement. The British Defence Minister, George Robertson, will be the new General Secretary. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Vedran Persic.

Sarajevo

Head of the OSCE Mission in BiH, Robert Barry, and the member of the BiH Presidency, Zivko Radisic, met today to discuss the presidential crisis in the RS, OBN reporter, Danijela Bozic, confirmed. The Head of Zivko Radisic Cabinet, Zeljko Samardzija, said that Sarovic should become a new president of the RS.

World

A report on the several explosions which occurred in the Central Mexico. At least 56 people killed. This was followed by reports on the official handing over of East Timor to the UN troops, fights in Chechenia, 30 British tourists who killed in South Africa and results of the elections in Egypt. The report was produced by OBN journalist, Zeljka Lekic.

Zagreb

A piece on the trial of Dinko Sakic, indicted for war crimes allegedly committed in the concentration camp Jasenovac in Croatia during the Second World War. The final word of the defense is scheduled for tomorrow.

Serbia / Kosovo

More than 40,000 people protested last night in Belgrade, demanding the resign of the Yugoslav President, Slobodan Milosevic. The protests were organised in twenty other towns in Serbia, OBN journalist, Gordana Frimel, confirmed. A report on the new incidents in Kosovo followed. The electricity supply system in Kosovo has been reestablished since the arrival of the KFOR troops and Kosovo is currently supplied from Albania and Macedonia.

Process of Return

A piece on Serbs who used to live in Sarajevo and whish to return to their homes. This was followed by a report on the return of several Bosniak families to Banja Luka supported by the CRC humanitarian organization. A piece on the return of Bosniak refugees to the villages in the Zvornik municipality whose houses are completely destroyed followed.

Dubrovnik

The two day Conference for the Protection of Children, organised by the International League of Humanists, began today in Dubrovnik. OBN reporter, Mujo Delibegovic, produced the report on the issue from Dubrovnik. The patrons of the Conference were Elizabeth Rehn and Iva Jelavic, the wife of the BiH Presidency Chairman, Ante Jelavic. Young people from BiH and Croatia have also participated in the work of the Conference.

Kiseljak

This was followed by a report on the eighth child in the Vujic family in the Brestovsko village near Kiseljak.

Sport

A report on the international basketball matches was followed by a report on Formula One.
