Yugoslavia
The Agency BETA reported that NATO has struck the Bar harbour in Montenegro. In Krusevac, the civil and military police force has been intensified in order to prevent anti-war protests of the citizens.
Kosovo Crisis
Diplomacy has never stopped searching for a solution for the Kosovo crisis. Although the Russian Minister Ivanov claims that NATO air strikes on Yugoslavia have frozen relations between Russia and the West, he has continued to make preparations for tomorrow’s meeting in Moscow where deployment of ground troops will be discussed.
Kosovo refugees, currently placed in Albania, are not safe because they are too near to the Yugoslav border. Because of possible Yugoslav Army attacks, refugees are being moved from Kukes to the South of Albania. New refugees have arrived to the Blace border crossing.
NATO decided to stop transmission of the RTV Serbia satellite signal due to their propaganda activities. OBN reporter, Sanjin Beciragic, reports on another kind of war – the war on Internet – where the Yugoslav sources report on their side of the story.
Sarajevo
A report on the session of the Representative House of the BiH Federation Parliament. Only six issues out of twelve were adopted.
Banja Luka
The main topic at the international organizations’ press conference in Banja Luka was the current situation in the RS. OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Tatjana Lajsic, sent her report.
Sarajevo
SFOR Commander, General Montgomery Meigs, met with the BiH Federation Prime Minister, Edhem Bicakcic, and signed today a memorandum of understanding which will provide monitoring and distribution of fuel supplies on the Federation territory. A similar document has been signed with the RS Government.
Christian Schwarz Schilling talked today about return to the Ilidza Municipality, near Sarajevo, currently populated with more than 20,000 refugees.
Kalesija
Last month, a humanitarian action gathering of aid for the returnees in the Podrinje area was conducted in Tuzla. Today, the collected aid was handed over to the returnees in Kalesija.
