Sarajevo

44 authorised auditors received work certificates today. They were educated in the Federation Institute for Accounting and Audit. Auditors will not be allowed to work in companies where they own shares, Slobodan Maksimovic confirmed.

Ugljevik

Management of the thermo electric plant “Ugljevik” sent a letter to the RS authorities and the International Community. “If problems in the thermo electric plant are not solved urgently, the production will stop, and it will directly influence the RS power supply system and cause political consequences”, was written in the letter. 120 OSCE observers are worried because several incidents took place during the elections in Macedonia. Observers confirmed the mentioned incidents, which took place mostly in places with Albanian majority. Reported by Safet Bisevac.

Croatia will extradite two Bosnian Croats to the ICTY. They were recently arrested under suspicion that they had committed war crimes against Bosniacs in Central Bosnia.

The British Army rescued their soldiers from kidnappers in Sierra Leone.

17 kidnappers died and their leader was arrested during the rescue operation.

The OPEC member countries agreed that they would increase oil production by 800 000 barrels a day.

At least 5 British refineries were blocked last night. Lorry drivers demand oil tax decrease. Protests also took place in Germany, Ireland and Italy.

The Palestinian and Israeli leaders will start 4-day negotiations in Gaza tomorrow.

Sarajevo

The issue of reintegration of Sarajevo settlements Dobrinja I and Dobrinja IV has not been resolved yet. Practically no one returned to these settlements so far. 350 citizens recently sent a complaint to human rights’ chambers of B&H, the RS and the Federation of B&H, Anes Alic reported.

Bijeljina

Bosniac and Serb refugees are not satisfied with work of OHR’s office in Bijeljina. They requested replacement of the Office Head, Francois Peres from the High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch. Reported by Tanja Gajic.

Non-existence of the Federal and Canton Law on Urbanism in Hercegovacko-Neretvljanski Canton is a huge problem. Two different laws are implemented in east and west part of Mostar, and therefore is impossible to make a city urban plan, Ivan Pavkovic confirmed.

A large amount of money has been invested in construction of a mortuary in Mostar, although the city mortuary already exists within the “Sutina” graveyard. “Regardless of nationality, we organise funerals for citizens from both entities”, said the Head of the “Sutina” graveyard, Nedzad Opijac. Public kitchen in the Mostar settlement Rudnik has worked in difficult conditions for 7 years. Number of users has continuously increased, and workers in the kitchen has not received their monthly salaries for more than 2 months. The kitchen should move into new rooms in October, Misijana Brkic reported.

First school days in the area of Brcko District passed without any problems. Unlike before, pupils in secondary schools will use the same school buildings this year. Reported by Slobodanka Radojkovic.
