OHR hosts meeting of legal experts on State-Entity and inter-Entity cooperation

The Office of the High Representative today hosted a meeting of the Legal Experts Consultative Group, which was chaired by Assistant Minister Amela Alihodzic of the BiH Ministry for European Integration. Participants discussed possibilities for inter-Entity cooperation under the BiH Constitution, and the impact on Entity legislation of legislative initiatives under the CoM Work Plan.

The Consultative Group includes legal experts from State and Entity ministries. It is intended to promote legislative efficiency and identify areas where State and Entity authorities can improve their collaboration in the context of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Today’s meeting was the second in what is projected to be a monthly series of discussions. The first experts’ meeting was held at the end of July in Banja Luka. At today’s session it was agreed that representatives of the Brcko District will be invited to participate in the Legal Experts Consultative Group in the future.
