The Parliamentary Assembly of BiH failed to take a decision on the Law on the Coat of Arms of BiH, in its session on 18 May. Therefore, the High Representative has decided, using his authority under Annex 10 of the Peace Agreement, that the Law shall enter into force with immediate effect.
Following the procedure already used for the flag of BiH, the High Representative has selected the Coat of Arms design which received the most votes during the Parliamentary session (proposal 2).
This design follows the design and themes of the flag. It is blue, with a triangle of yellow colour in the top right side corner, and a row of five white stars running parallel to the left side of the triangle. The law includes provisions for the use and presentation of the Coat of Arms, as well as detailed information on the means for its official display.
