The IMF agrees that 20% of privatisation revenue should be used for pensions in the Federation. “The privatisation revenue will enable us to pay out pensions we owe. Pensions will not be increased, but they should not be reduced either”, said Edhem Bicakcic, the Federation Prime Minister. Reported by Amarildo Gutic.

The B&H Union announced wide social protests, if the Government does not change it’s attitude towards workers. The Union demanded the urgent passing of a social programme, and the enabling of workers to actively participate in the privatisation process. The report was produced by Slobodan Maksimovic.

“The accounts of “Dnevni Avaz” in several B&H banks were unblocked yesterday, about 10 a.m.”, said Ramiz Daferovic, the Director of the Tax Administration. Employees of “Dnevni Avaz” claim that the Tax Administration will soon present the “suspicious results” of the tax inspection, trying to destroy this newspaper. Mr. Daferovic said that the work of the Tax Administration was transparent, Sanjin Beciragic confirmed.

Polling stations were opened this morning in Zimbabwe. International observers said that the voting is taking place without any problems. The first election results will be announced on Monday evening.
The Secretary General of the Council of Europe visited Cechenia. He said that the situation there was worse than he had expected.

The Liberal Democratic Party was founded today, by unifying the Liberal Party and the Liberal-Bosniac Organisation. Rasim Kadic was appointed as the Chairman of the new party. Members of the new party feel that the unification will bring them better election results. Reported by Damir Kaletovic.

The Head of the OSCE Mission, Robert Barry visited returnees in Herzegovina. Their situation is difficult, because most of them are unemployed. “Investments in industry are the only thing which can create new jobs”, Mr. Barry said. “Only elections can make politicians work in the interest of B&H citizens”, he added.
