Inzko in Washington with US Officials

“Despite the lack of progress and political difficulties of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the country, its leaders, and its peoples still have every chance to work together, to succeed, and to prosper”, High Representative, Valentin Inzko said in Washington.
Following his meeting with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Tuesday’s address to the UN Security Council in New York, High Representative Valentin Inzko met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Hoyt Brian Yee and other high-ranking officials of the US Department of State and the National Security Council while in Washington.

The High Representative recommended that the international community working together in its different configurations continue to engage constructively with BiH stakeholders in order to help the country overcome its political difficulties and make progress in its Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

“I had good discussions in Washington. The US remains committed to BiH, as evidenced also in the address by Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland in her speech before Atlantic Council. I want to thank the US for its longstanding invaluable support to Bosnia and Herzegovina and its Euro-Atlantic aspirations“, said High Representative Inzko.
