High Representative meets Special Co-ordinator for the Stability Pact, Bodo Hombach

The High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch, today, Wednesday, held talks with Bodo Hombach, the Special Co-ordinator of the Stability Pact. They discussed in particular current political issues, refugee return, economic reform and stabilisation in the wider region. The High Representative stressed the important role of the Stability Pact for the future development of BiH. He encouraged the new governments in place to actively participate in the Stability Pact fora and meet requirements set forth by the first Regional Funding Conference in order to secure funds from the Quick Start Package.

The High Representative and the Special Coordinator agreed that the political, social and economic problems in Bosnia and Herzegovina can only be solved in the context of regional cooperation and development.
