The High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch, met yesterday with Karlo Filipovic, President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), Ivo Komsic, Speaker of the FBiH House of Peoples and Ivan Brigic, the Deputy Speaker of the FBiH House of Representatives.
In a positive atmosphere the process surrounding the establishment of the Federation authorities was discussed, and views were exchanged on how to actively promote matters of relevance to the Croat community in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There was agreement that dialogue between the Federation and cantonal authorities, where established, was essential and that the interests of the BiH Croats should be expressed through the legal and constitutional institutions at Federation and State level.
