The High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch, welcomes Georges Bordet to his position of Deputy High Representative and Head of the OHR Regional Office in Banja Luka. Mr. Bordet has taken up his duties today.
Mr. Bordet's career with the Canadian armed forces includes extensive experience in peacekeeping missions in Cyprus and the Afghanistan-Pakistan border as well as with the OSCE in Kosovo and Albania where he headed the OSCE Refugee Task Force.
The High Representative welcomes the arrival of Mr. Bordet and looks forward to him contributing to the continuing process of implementing the Dayton Peace Agreement throughout Bosnia-Herzegovina.
