Ambassador Colin A. Munro, who was appointed the new Deputy High Representative in BiH and the Head of the Regional Office of the High Representative (South) by Ambassador Wolfgang Petritsch last December, took up his duties in Mostar on January 15, 2001. He thus replaced Judge Lynghjem whose mandate on this position expired in December 2000.
This experienced diplomat, joined the UK’s Diplomatic Service back in 1969. Since then he has performed a number of high-ranking duties in the UK’s Foreign Ministry and abroad. From 1997 - 2000, Colin Munro served as Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia. The High Representative welcomes the arrival of Ambassador Munro and wishes him success in this demanding job. The Office of the High Representative will also continue to give its full support to the Regional Office South headed by Ambassador Munro. Please find attached Ambassador Colin A.
