23 October 1998

On Monday 19th October The Open Broadcast Network delivered children's sweatshirts to two children's homes in Sarajevo.

In the morning presenter, Gordana Firmel, gave sweatshirts to eighty children aged five years and under at 'Ljubica Ivezic' in Bjelave welcomed by teacher, Hajrija Kozarac.

In the afternoon the OBN team visited the children's village, 'SOS Kinderdorf' where OBN's main presenter, Jasminka Sipka, was greeted by Administrative Assistant Izeta Hadjic. Sweatshirts were presented to twenty five children aged under five years old.

The clothes, supplied from Ragdoll Productions in England, are a generous donation to the children of BiH. They feature characters from Teletubbies, Rosie & Jim and Tots TV - well-known children's television programmes in England made by Ragdoll.

OBN's affiliates will also be delivering more of these clothes over the forthcoming weeks to disadvantaged children living in areas all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
