Statement
of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Sarajevo, 11 June 1997

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina held its 19th session in the
National Museum in Sarajevo on June 11, 1997. In the absence of the
Chair of BiH Presidency, Alija Izetbegovic, Mr. Kresimir Zubak chaired
the session. The absent Chair of the Presidency, Mr. Alija Izetbegovic,
was represented by the Co-Chair of the Council of Ministers of BiH,
Haris Silajdzic.
The Presidency analyzed the political declaration of Sintra and
established its concrete obligations and dynamic of their realization.
In that respect:
- Session of the Standing Committee for Military Issues was scheduled
for June 16, 1997
- A working group for preparation of the proposal of BiH symbols was
formed
- It was decided that at the next session of the Presidency
organization and distribution of diplomatic and consular offices would
be discussed
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to prepare a proposal of
the document on regulation of relations among BiH Presidency, Council of
Ministers and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in foreign policy domain
The Presidency of BiH established basic principles for participation at
the next Donor's Conference.
The Presidency appointed the delegation for negotiations with EBRD on a
new loan for BiH for urgent reconstruction of electric power system in
the amount of 15 million US dollars.
The Presidency formed a working group for sport issues composed as
follows: Jusuf Pusina, Vlado Miskovic and Rajko Popovic.
Accreditations of new Ambassadors of China, Pakistan, Hungary and
Greece to Bosnia and Herzegovina were approved.
The Presidency discussed a lot of other issues within its competence.
