Supervisor Gregorian Meets with Head of Armenian Women’s Center

Brcko Supervisor Raffi Gregorian received in his office on the occasion of International Women’s Day Ms. Gohar Harutjanjan Sekulic, founder of the Armenian Women’s Center “Armenka” in Belgrade.
Ms. Sekulic informed Supervisor Gregorian of Armenka’s work in assisting Armenian and other women from former Soviet countries who live in Serbia and who have been the victims of domestic abuse. She also described Armenka’s work in presenting and promoting Armenian culture in Serbia through concerts, exhibitions, and other events.
“I was impressed by Ms. Sekulic’s efforts both to help foreign women who suffer domestic abuse as well as moved by her own personal story,” said Supervisor Gregorian. “As a leader of the Armenian community in Serbia, she has done a great job in increasing appreciation by Serbs of Armenian culture and history,” he said.
