Principal Deputy High Representative and Brčko District Supervisor Louis Crishock met today in Brčko with members of the District’s Judicial Commission to discuss current issues in the judiciary and encourage their engagement in drafting the Law on Civil Servants and Employees in Brčko District institutions.
“Finalizing this legislation will ensure a consistent and comprehensive regulation of the status of civil servants and employees. Any administration striving for efficiency and providing of quality public services needs to properly regulate this issue, as it represents a cornerstone of good governance,” said Supervisor Crishock.
He underscored that the civil service status of some employees in courts and prosecutors’ offices will not be allowed to impinge on the independence of the judiciary.
