Mr. Krajisnik spoke today in Pale with Special American Envoy for the Balkans, R. Gelbard, and American Ambassador in Sarajevo, Richard Kauzlarich, about tomorrow’s visit of Mr. Bill Clinton to B&H. Mr. Gelbard stated that they had discussed a wide range of issues relevant for diligent realisation of the DA, and added that he would be back to Bosnia in two weeks’ time, expressing the hope that some progress would be made by then.

Media within the country and abroad speculate about tomorrow’s visit of the US President to B&H. The analyses are mostly related to the status of the new peace forces and to the results of the peace implementation so far.
The aim of tomorrow’s visit is to show the decisiveness of the USA in persistent implementation of the DA and its intention to remain permanently in this area, the Greek media state today.
Assistant to the US State Secretary for democracy and human rights stated that every leader in B&H who was committed to the implementation of the DA would gain the support of the USA. Commenting on the recent arrest of Vlatko Kupreskic and Anto Furundzija in Vitez, the American official emphasised that there would be no indulgence and no mercy for those indicted.
The Hungarian Prime Minister stated today for the Hungarian press that stability in B&H was in the interests of Hungary. He assessed that the military situation in B&H had become stabilised but that political stabilisation still needed to be looked into. He said that the IC wanted to prevent any escalation.

The Association for helping refugees and DP’s in FRY adopted an operational plan for the implementation of the Bonn Conference. In a press release issued by this association, it is stated that return of refugees to their homes of origin in B&H and Croatia, especially to Sarajevo, is highlighted in the operational plan.

The RS Vice President, Dragoljub Mirjanic, spoke today with Vesna Zivkovic, the representative of the Education and Social Welfare Centre from Belgrade, and the leader of the delegation that arrived in Banja Luka today. They spoke about the action called Children of Belgrade to Children of Banja Luka. Up until now this association has provided RS with 18 tons of humanitarian aid.
