RS President Plavsic and Prime-Minister Dodik talked in separate meetings with the Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs about the political situation in RS, improving cooperation between RS and Sweden and other issues pertaining to the successful implementation of the DA.

Implementation of the additional arbitration decision on Brcko was the main subject of a meeting between President Plavsic and acting supervisor for Brcko, Ian McLeod. President Plavsic fully supports this decision. She said that the Government would form a special commission that would be working on the implementation of the additional arbitration decision on Brcko.

RS has fulfilled all the obligations that are supposed to lead to the signing of the Agreement with the IMF, Prime-Minister Dodik announced after having talked with a senior official of the IMF in BL today.

Prime-Minister Dodik also met with the Dutch Ambassador to BiH. This meeting was in preparation for the forthcoming visit to RS of the Dutch Foreign Minister, according to a press release from the Prime-Minister’s Cabinet.

An agreement to provide $45 million for the reconstruction of infrastructure and $30 million in commercial credits for the reconstruction of BiH will be signed tomorrow in the National Museum in Sarajevo. Boro Bosic, Haris Silajdzic and the Head of USAID Mission to RS and FBiH will sign the Agreement.

The RS NA Speaker, Dragan Kalinic, and Momcilo Krajisnik talked in separate meetings with councillors from the British Parliament and UK Ambassador to BiH, Charles Crawford. The councillors confirmed to Krajisnik that the promised UK assistance to RS would depend first of all on the realisation of the DA.

FRY President, Slobodan Milosevic, has sent a letter to the President of Serbia Milan Milutinovic, Prime-Minister Mirko Marjanovic and NA Speaker Dragan Tomic, where he says:
“It is known that we have refused to accept participation of international representatives in resolving the internal problems of our country, and especially in resolving the issue of Kosovo, which represents an internal matter for Serbia…Therefore, I am proposing a way which is allowed under the Constitution and Serbia Law and that is to start the procedure for scheduling a referendum, which would answer the question of whether we are going to accept international involvement or not in the matter of Kosovo.”
Milan Milutinovic and the Government of Serbia supported this initiative.

Several vehicles and SFOR soldiers, mainly members of the Italian SFOR, occupied all important traffic checkpoints around Pale starting early this morning. They also occupied the former seats of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and RS Government. They strengthened their presence in Pale in order to carry out a routine inspection of the police facilities pursuant to Annex 1a of the DA.

The SDA will ask OHR to take a decision on replacing the mayors of three municipalities in the western part of Mostar, unless they adopt a refugee return plan for those municipalities today, said the spokesman for SDA, Ismet Grbo, at today’s press conference held in SA.

Regarding differing information on dismissing and suspending SRT employees, the SRT international administrator, Dragan Gasic, announced that, since the SRT General Director, Andjelko Kozomara, took up this position, not one worker had been dismissed or suspended. Gasic calls on all those who perform public functions to inform themselves of the facts first before giving statements and drawing conclusions.
