Jevgenij Primakov, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with members of the BiH Presidency today in Sarajevo. According to Momcilo Krajisnik, Serb Member of the Presidency, the BiH Presidency expressed its gratitude to the Russian Federation for the assistance provided in implementation of the Dayton Agreement. Later in the day, Primakov met with the BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jadranko Prlic, and his Deputy, Dragan Bozanic, as well as with the HR, Carlos Westendorp. Primakov will visit Banja Luka tomorrow.

President Plavsic and Prime Minister Dodik met with the Ambassador of Japan to BiH, Ioshio Takashima, today in Banja Luka. They discussed $1 million worth of economic assistance from Japan to the RS Government. Dodik informed the press that the Japanese Government would provide $4.2 million for the RS until the end of the current year, in the form of different programmes for the purchase of goods necessary for the RS.

The 10th session of the RS Government is being held in Banja Luka today. The Government has been considering a proposal for an RS approach to the European Initiative for Stability and Good Neighbourliness in South-Eastern Europe.

The Alternative CoM of the BiH held a press conference in Banja Luka today. The Chairman of the ACoM, Sejfudin Tokic, confirmed that the new “Shadow Cabinet” will have 12 instead of the current 8 departmental ministries. Tokic also stated that Nenad Bastinac, Secretary of the SNSD, was appointed Minister for Development, instead of the RS Prime Minister, Dodik.
