Kosovo – related news. The Interior Ministry of Serbia stated today that one part of the police units had been withdrawn from Kosovo. NATO is having a session in Brussels at which the preparations for military action in Kosovo are being discussed. The US Special Envoy for the Balkans Richard Holbrooke left for Brussels from Belgrade tonight. Holbrooke will take part in the NATO session on the Kosovo crisis. The FRY President Slobodan Milosevic and Holbrooke talked twice today and the continuation of the talks has been announced for tomorrow. The reactions throughout the world to a possible NATO air attack against the FRY. According to American sources, cited by the Beta news agency, the last day for achieving an agreement in Belgrade in order to avoid NATO intervention in Kosovo is on Tuesday, October 13. The RS Government will hold a standing session because of the current situation in Kosovo, it was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister Tihomir Gligoric after today’s seven-hour session behind closed doors. According to Gligoric, the RS Government is not able to increase the minimum wage at the moment. The Government made a decision today on establishing its own press centre. The Government also discussed proposals on the strategy of developing the RS electricity and water supply industry.

The Greek Ambassador to B&H visited the out-going RS member of the B&H Presidency Momcilo Krajisnik. The purpose of the visit was to say, officially and personally, good-bye to Krajisnik with whom the Greek Ambassador had a very good cooperation in the past fifteen months.
