News Summary
Sarovic not informed of Dodik letter
Office of RS Vice-president Mirko Sarovic issued a press release stating that Sarovic has not yet received a letter from RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, which was published by the media on 3 September. Dodik required Sarovic to protect the RS Presidential institution since he is obliged to do so by the oath he took at the time of his appointment. The release reads that Sarovic knows no details of the letter, apart from those quoted by SRT. Sarovic has gone to the US, and if the letter arrives in the meantime, Sarovic will respond after he returns. According to SRNA, Sarovic is going to take part in a Congress of Serb Unification under the main topic of “the Serb national issue.” The Congress will be held in Cleveland and convene on 9 September. Malden Ivanic is also going to speak.

BiH Presidency not responsible for corruption – Klein
According to an ONASA report, UN Head of Mission to BiH Jacques Klein stated that the UN lost no money in BiH since the UN Bank agencies, which have their programs in BiH, have special financial surveillance. Klein denied the New York Times text published on 17 August, by which millions of US Dollars have been lost in BiH. He told Oslobodjenje that the text has only touched on some problems in BiH in which, he thinks, there are no state accounting offices, finance ministry or police force that would protect its borders. Klein added that corruption in BiH is a political issue but that the BiH Presidency is not responsible for it.
