International organizations held a press conference in Banja Luka on Friday, at which SFOR spokesperson Jacques Poitras stated that SFOR Commander Adams decided to dissolve two RS Army units and five BiH Federation Army units in Brcko. RS Supreme Court annuls RS Government dismissal of Ilic

The RS Supreme Court annulled the decision of the RS Government to dismiss SRNA Director Branislav Ilic and appoint Dragan Davidovic as acting director. According to BETA, the decision was adopted on 20 July in Pale and forwarded to Ilic on 22 November. The RS Supreme Court found that the SRNA Executive Board has the authority to propose appointments and dismissals of the general director to the RS Government. The SRNA Executive Board held three sessions, but the work of the general director was not criticized. The Executive Board supports the work of SRNA and decided that there was no reason to change its leadership. The Executive Board suggested annulment of the RS Government decision. The RS Government cannot bring a complaint against an RS Supreme Court decision. On 24 November, Ilic informed RS Deputy Prime Minister Ostoja Kremenovic of the Court’s decision and suggested that he set a date and place for the assumption of duty. RS Information Minister Rajko Vasic condemned SRNA for not publishing the entire press release of former RS Interior Minister Milovan Stankovic.

In the press release, Momcilo Krajisnik was indirectly accused of the murder of Serb Sarajevo Police Chief Srdjan Knezevic. Ilic claims that, since his dismissal and the change of SRNA facilities, approximately 50 SRNA employees have been fired or put on stand-by. According to Ilic, the decision of the RS Supreme Court is one more step towards real democratization of the media in the RS.
