News Summary
Kozomara remains RTV RS General Director – Haselock
Deputy High Representative for Media Simon Haselock stated at a press conference in Banja Luka that the OHR does not agree with the RS Government conclusion on suspending evictions during the winter period. He pointed out that the law clearly states that no one would be evicted unless provided accommodation so that it does not matter whether the evictions are carried out in the winter or any other period. He added that Andjelko Kozomara remains RTV RS General Director and that there are no other opinions on this within the IC, which is confirmed by the US Embassy announcement. He commented on RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik’s statement, published in today’s Banja Luka press, that he RS Government could dismiss the RTV RS General Director, by saying that Dodik was badly informed by his Information Minister and that he should be careful of being correctly informed in the future. Asked whether the IC keeps the RS Government “on the scene” Haselock said that the IC cannot do this, but that it is the responsibility of the RS National Assembly.

SRS to request dismissal of RS National Assembly leadership
SRS General Secretary Ognjen Tadic stated at a press conference that the SRS would require the dismissal of the RS National Assembly leadership because it abuses its position and is not in accordance with election results. Tadic reproached RS National Assembly Speaker Petar Djokic because, during the discussion on the oil refinery affair in Srpski Brod, Djokic said that he did not want it published. In Tadic’s opinion, this affair calls for the resignation of RS Oil Industry Steering Board and RS Government. Mirjana Dakic said that SRS is surprised by the fact that SDS did not support the resignation of the RS Oil Industry Steering Board but it does not know if the SDS thinks there would be a split in the SRS-SDS Coalition. Head of the SRS Caucus Milan Lazic stated that the draft law on elections should not regulate the election of republic and municipal organs in the RS and BiH Federation but only the election of joint institutions in BiH.
