News Summary:
HDZ press conference on Prlic resignation from party (01:23)
The HDZ held a press conference in Sarajevo following the resignation of Jadranko Prlic from the HDZ. HDZ Vice President Marko Tokic, commenting on reasons behind Prlic’s resignation from the HDZ, said the Mostar University issue was just the immediate cause for the resignation, but added that the real reasons were of a much deeper nature. Two months before the Sixth HDZ Congress, Prlic started expressing and carrying out his own policies before those of the party. And then, after the Congress, he placed certain conditions on the party. Tokic added that Prlic’s resignation was a great loss to the HDZ and should not have happened.
