News Summary
4 October deadline for applications for return of tenant rights
4 October is the deadline for submitting applications for the return of tenant rights in the BiH Federation, while the deadline for the return of flats in the RS is 19 December. This means that all those who have not submitted an application by Monday lose their tenant rights and the apartments will be issued by the state. Nevertheless, the Commission for the Implementation of Property Laws announced an extension of the deadlines both in the BiH Federation and the RS by another 60 days. The BiH Association of Tenants expressed its surprise with such a decision because this issue is not under the jurisdiction of The Commission for the Implementation of Property Laws.

20 Serb refugees return to Mostar Old Town Municipality
20 Serb refugees returned to the Mostar suburb of Brankovic on Monday. This is the first instance of organized refugee returns to the Mostar City center in Old Town Municipality. Most of the returnees came from the collective refugee center in Nevesinje and were temporary located in one house, reconstructed after a donation from the CRS humanitarian organization. Since this was a carefully organized operation guided by an increased presence of police and SFOR, the return passed without incident.
