BiH Justice authorities received approval from the Hague Tribunal for criminal prosecution of Fikret Abdic. As said in the announcement from BiH Presidency member Izetbegovic’s cabinet, ICTY prosecutor overviewed Fikret Badic’s dossier, delivered in accordance with the Rules of the Road, from the Rome Agreement. The prosecutor concluded that the presented evidence indicates towards grounded suspicion that Fikret Abdic severely violated the international law, by inhumane treatment of civilians and prisoners of war, as well as by forced mobilisation of civilians. ICTY prosecutor also informed High Representatives Westendorp on this matter.

It is completely certain that implementation of Annex 7 of the DPA in the area of BiH will depend on the upcoming decision on Brcko, for, just decision on Brcko may be a positive signal for refugee return Bosnia and Herzegovina-wide. About 12.000 people returned to the Tuzla/Podrinje Canton in the past year. Many of them are from the RS area, and they all live in hope they will return to their homes in this year.

Almost complete pre-war population of Bosanska Krupa returned to this town. Along with this, citizens of Serb nationality are returning daily. BiH TV also made interviews with returnees to Bosanska Krupa, and all (three) of them said they were happy to return home.

RS Government Designate Brane Miljus said that he does not recognise decision of the Independent Social Democrats party Executive Board, on his dismissal from the party. According to him, only the Main Board can make the decision. SDS Co-chairman Cavic commented on recent events in the RS and said, “Serb policy in the RS has became the hostage of CDU BiH policy and its leader, Bico.”
