Interview with Safet Bico
In an interview for TV BiH, CD Coalition Caucus President in the RS National Assembly Safet Bico commented on the election of a second RS National Assembly Vice-president. “We have insisted for over a year that a CD Coalition member, a Bosniak, be appointed second RS National Assembly Vice-president” he stated. “The High Representative agreed with that, but it has not yet been realized. At the most recent RS National Assembly session, the Speaker (Djokic) promised that he would not discontinue the session until a second Vice-president was elected. However, that did not happen, proving that there is obviously no political will for that. Aside from the occasional group of delegates, there is unfortunately no political will to elect a Bosniak as the second Vice-president, which tells us that democratization in the RS is far away from democracy and that Dayton Agreement implementation is far from what the International Community demands.”
