Croat police officers return to work in HN canton

After the attack on BiH Deputy Interior Minister Jozo Leutar, the work of HN Canton police was brought to a halt. With the mediation of the IPTF, an agreement was finally reached and Croat police officers returned to their stations in Bosniak majority areas of HN Canton over the weekend. According to a statement by HN Canton Deputy Interior Minister Sefkija Dziho, only high-ranking Croat police officials working in the Interior Ministry office in Mostar did not report for work.

BiH Federation Ombudsmen informs BiH Parliament of citizens’ rights violations

The BiH Federation Ombudsmen sent a special report to the BiH Federation Parliament informing them of violations of human rights in connection with the new law on purchasing state-owned apartments in which a citizen has tenant’s right. According to the report, this law prevents citizens wishing to buy their apartments from using the privileges of his or her deceased spouse. This was the third time that the Ombudsmen are attempting to make the government change anomalies in this law.

HDZ BiH Presidency discusses realization of conclusions from last impromptu session and economic issues

At its 15th session in Mostar on Monday, the HDZ BiH Presidency reconsidered implementation of the conclusions from the 18 March session of the Presidency following the attack on Jozo Leutar. The Presidency assigned officials for specific aspects of the conclusions’ implementation and also discussed a report on economic activities and fiscal policy.
