News Summary
TV BiH interview with Edhem Bicakcic on the reasons behind his resignation
BiH Federation Prime Minister Edhem Bicakcic, in an interview with TV BiH, said: “I gave my resignation to President Alija Izetbegovic after the latest session of the BiH House of Representatives. During that session, we were not able to implement even minimum reconstruction of the BiH Federation Government due to the absence of SDA members from parliamentary sessions. This means that there is a certain level of obstruction from within the ruling party towards the government it elected. If we expand this to obstructions from within the CD Coalition, then we realize that the possibilities and scope of my work have been decreased severely, and that I do not have the needed support in the parliament.”

However, let us take a look at Petritsch’s statement, given in the early 90s, during the war in BiH. Petritsch then said that the BiH media played a great role during the conflict in this region, we quote Petritsch’s statement, “(the media was) suggesting that the war was the only solution.” Concerning municipal elections, Petritsch said that the people of the BiH Federation have discovered a real alternative to the SDA in the SDP BiH. Petritsch also said that BiH, as a state, would not in future be divided anymore, but consolidated.
