This decision is based on the interest of investigations against those who sponsored Arkan. Although she is not ready to reveal crimes and locations cited in the indictment, Del Ponte stated at a Monday press conference that the prosecution closely investigated and documented Arkan’s activities in East Slavonia and east and northwest BiH between 1991 and 1995. Del Ponte expressed regret that Arkan will not appear before the ICTY in response to charges raised against him.
