Jablanica – There was coverage of the putting into operation of a 220 KW strong long-distance power line, a reconstruction of one of the most important electric energy system crossings in BiH. The cost for reconstruction of two combined electric plants installation which provide the whole Una-Sana Canton with electricity, amounts to a million and 774.000 dollars. Besides the Cantonal Officials, the representatives of the World Bank attended today’s celebration in Jablanica. Rorry O’Sullivan, Director of the World Bank Mission in Sarajevo put the installation into operation.

Sarajevo – On the occasion of the Indonesian National Day, Alija Izetbegovic, BiH Presidency Chairman sent congratulations to the President Habibi in the name of the BiH state organs and his own name.

Sarajevo – The Federation Government confirmed several proposals to the law at its yesterday’s session. The most interesting are Law on Deposit Insurance and Law on Preventing Money Laundering. Government adopted also amendments to the Law on Selling Apartments under the Occupancy Right.

Sarajevo – The BiH Trade Union estimates that there is no need for workers to gather in front of the Federal Parliament building Tuesday and Wednesday waiting for the BiH Federation HoR and HoP Parliament session results. The sessions will discuss important Draft Laws which concern workers: The Draft Law on Work, Draft Law on Strikes and Draft Law on Employee’s Councils. The Trade Union representatives in the federal bodies sent a message to the workers that they can trust the Union representatives who will represent their interests in the Parliament.

Banja Luka – According to the Milorad Dodik’s announcement after today’s RS Government session, the murder of Srdjan Knezevic, Deputy Commissioner of the Center for Security at Pale, was a key topic at the session. Dodik told the journalists that the Government will demand detailed investigation of this murder no matter who is behind it. The RS Prime Minister judged the work of the Ministry for Internal Affairs relating to the case Knezevic, as efficient, while the members of the Commission for the control of the Work of this Ministry found that the RS Ministry made a series of errors and forgeries in the official statement relating to this case.

The Hague – The process against six Croats accused for organising massacres against Bosniaks in the year 1993 began today. They have been accused for organising a genocide in the village Ahmici and its surroundings in April 1993. Out of 356 Bosniaks who lived in Ahmici, more than 100 were killed, many of them were burned alive in their homes. The others fled during the HVO attack on 16 April 1993.

Sarajevo – Two persons died in this morning’s shooting in the Obala Kulina Bana Street. According to the unofficial information Fuad Trnka (1958) killed Slavko Herceg (1948) his employer and than activated a bomb to kill himself. Investigation is on going.

Travnik – Ivan Saric, Vice Governor of the Middle Bosnian Canton told the journalists in Travnik today that the Governor and former Minister for Finance in the Cantonal Government illegally transferred around a million DM of Cantonal money to the account of the Municipal Council in Bugojno without informing the Croat officials in the Government.
