- Foreign Ministers of NATO member countries decided at a meeting in Brussels that the air campaign will continue until Milosevic complies with all demands of the IC.
- FRY Parliament, in the absence of Montenegrin delegates, adopted a decision on alliance with Russia and Belarus.
- Refinery in Pancevo, military airport Batajnica and “Zastava” factory in Kragujevac hit in last night’s raids.
- Federation Parliament HoR continued its session in Sarajevo, discussing terrorist activities in the Federation area.
During the continued raids on Yugoslavia, NATO aircraft hit two bridges near the town of Leskovac in southern Serbia. One missile hit a passenger train that was crossing the bridge at the time. Yugoslav officials said at least nine people were killed and 16 wounded in this attack. NATO officials admitted the mistake of hitting the train, and said “we regret the possible injuries to civilian victims and collateral damage, but the air campaign will continue.” Pristina was also bombarded today and the Information Service of the Yugoslav Army said that a large group of about 150 armed terrorists attempted to enter Kosovo from the Albanian side, but was eliminated by the Yugoslav Army.

Foreign Ministers of NATO member countries said that the Western allies are united and determined regarding the continuance of air strikes. The ministers said that NATO was not in conflict with the people of FRY, but with Milosevic. The announcement from the meeting also stated that NATO would reply to any attempt to jeopardise the territorial integrity of neighbouring Albania and Macedonia.

British Foreign Minister, Cook held a press conference and said that Milosevic’s regime is similar to regimes that had been defeated 50 and more years ago, and that as such, he had to be defeated himself. Kosovar refugee crisis continues – Most are stationed in Albania, and those are mainly women, children and the old. The fate of the men is still unknown. Federation Parliament HoR continued its session, and discussed, among other issues, the Agreement on Special Relations with Croatia, Federation Budget for 1999 and the draft Law on Federal Television. The draft Law on Federation TV was put on the agenda and will be discussed tomorrow.
