Sarajevo – A meeting of BiH election parties representatives, chaired by Federation Co-president Ganic was held today. BiH President Izetbegovic was also present, and the meeting was called because of the delayed publishing of the election results. Federal commission for Brcko will ask from OSCE the analysis of errors which occurred, and also the publishing of details for their correction, along with the report about possible controversial details. Ganic’s cabinet announced that in case that errors correction report is not published, political parties will have to consider a revoke of the elections.

New York Times – published that BiH Army is arming under cover, and training it’s soldiers abroad in order to attack the Bosnian Serbs eventually. Quoting some NATO officials, NYT said that the secret shipments of weapon are being carried out in harbours Ploce and Rijeka. Izetbegovic’s cabinet announced that this article is a product of journalists imagination and speculations, and without any grounds. Izetbegovic’s cabinet strongly refuted all the claims by NYT. BiH press reported that NATO officials also refuted these claims, published in NYT.

Protocol Activities – Presidency member Zubak and HR deputy Klein talked about the situation in general in BiH Federation, and about the conditions of the peace process in BiH.

Federal Minister for Foreign Trade and Economy Muratovic, and deputy Minister for Civilian Affairs Recica talked to the US Refugee Ambassador about refugee return and conditions creating for implementation of DPA Annex 7.

Federal Refugee Minister Kadic talked to Stolac Municipality authorities about the realisation of Pilot-project, that includes the return of 47 families.

Travnik – The matter of refugee return to Central Bosnian Canton was discussed at today’s meeting, chaired by OHR Humanitarian and Refugee Affairs chief Herdina. Present were representatives of Federal and Canton ministries, IC representatives and Canton Prime Minister as well as the representatives from all 11 municipalities of the Canton. Most of the municipalities, except for Travnik and Gornji Vakuf, came out positively for the refugee return.

Brcko – The session of the Commission for the Return Approvals in Brcko, was an occasion to issue 100 more applications for return of the Brcko refugees. Supervisor Farrand’s spokesman Bazala said that 1618 applications have been issued so far. Bazala also protested against the statement of RS Urbanism Minister Micanovic, who claimed that he made an agreement with Farrand, upon which a Serb construction enterprise would carry out the houses reconstruction in Brcko.

Zagreb – US Special Envoy Gelbard talked to the Croatian President Tudjman. Gelbard insisted on extradition to the Hague of so-called Vitez (knightly) group of Croats indicted in war crimes over Bosniaks. Tudjman agreed to extradite all indicted except for Dario Kordic.

Washington – State Department spokesman deputy Foley said that State Department is looking forward to the extradition of Knightly Group. Foley also said that in the case that Karadzic and other indicted war criminals would not surrender, the US leaves all options open in order to make the indicted available to the Hague. L.A. Times reported that CIA special forces are following Karadzic from a very close range, and that an incident occurred recently with Serbs from Karadzic’s environment, but that they probably did not know that they were dealing with CIA intelligence’s. The White House confirmed the incident, but said that it did not happen during any arrest action.

Sarajevo – The President of BiH Victimology Society Kreso condemned Ostojic’s election for Human Rights Commission President. Kreso called Ostojic one of the main ideologists, organisators, and executors of the crimes over Bosniak people. Kreso reminded that Simon Visenthal called Ostojic the Bosnian Serb Goebels, and an American Gatman published that Ostojic had a key role in harassment of women, and that he was a direct participant of Bosniak expulsions from Foca.

Sarajevo – At today’s press briefing of IC representatives, OSCE spokesman Foley addressed to journalists in Sarajevo, for the last time. In his farewell speech, Foley thanked BiH citizens for the support given to IC representatives work. Foley said that OSCE continues with the preparations for the forthcoming elections in RS. UN spokesman Ivanko said that the UN Special Envoy Eide yesterday talked to the RS President Plavsic about police reform in RS, and that it was agreed that this process must commence immediately throughout RS. OHR spokesman Haselock said that SRT Pale will be denied access to the relay network, as long as they do not agree to reconstruct their editorial in accordance with OHR and IC suggestions. Haselock added that Pale editorial agreed to restrain from broadcasting until the IC allows them so.
