Gacko

A report on the current, calm atmosphere in the Fazlagica Kula village after the shelling which occurred the day before yesterday. The shells were fired at the Bosniak returnees. The investigation ongoing. The report was produced by OBN reporter from the area, Enes Ratkusic.

Sarajevo

This was followed by a report on the meeting between the High Representative in BiH, Wolfgang Petritsch, and the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Ante Jelavic. One of the issues discussed at the meeting was the statement from the BiH Presidency member, Alija Izetbegovic, about stopping refugees moving out from their provisional accommodation. It was said that this could endanger positive progression in BiH.

Tesanj

This was followed by a report, produced by OBN reporter, Sanjin Beciragic, about Alija Izetbegovic’s visit to Tesanj and his statement about refugees moving out of their apartments. This was followed by a report on the different reactions to the above mentioned statement.

Banja Luka

The first working meeting between the Sloga Coalition and the Coalition for Complete and Democratic BiH was held today in Banja Luka. Details of the meeting were not announced. The report on this was produced by the OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Valentina Knezevic.

Sarajevo

A report on the meeting of the BiH Council of Ministers held today in Sarajevo. The Council reached an agreement on the spending of the 45 million DEM donated by the German Government, OBN reporter, Damir Kaletovic, confirmed.

Ilidza (Sarajevo)

A meeting of the Joint Military Commission was held today at SFOR‘s Headquarters in Ilidza. The Deputy Commander of the RS Army Headquarters attended the meeting. The chairman at the meeting was the SFOR Deputy Commander, General Mike Willcocks. The main issue discussed at the meeting was mine clearance. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Vedran Persic.

Banja Luka

A report on the session of the RS Government held today in Banja Luka, and social issues that were discussed at the meeting, was produced by OBN reporter from the town, Sanela Zivkovic.

World

A report on the current events in Kosovo was followed by reports on a terrorist attack in Moscow, the search for casualties in Greece, violence in East Timor and the latest events in the Middle East.

Sarajevo

A piece on the gas shortage in the Sarajevo Canton due Russia’s refusal to supply further gas until the debt of 8 million DEM is paid.. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Amarildo Gutic.

A report on the round table meeting held today in Sarajevo about the privatisation process in BiH and the possibility of 600 workers staying without a job during the process of privatisation. OBN reporter, Anes Alic, produced the report.

This was followed by a piece on the ancient, Jewish manuscript “Hagada”, more than 600 years old. The owner of this valuable book is the Sarajevo National Museum. The fourth, reprinted edition of the book was presented today.

A report on the failed negotiations to establish a joint basketball league in BiH was followed by reports on US Open tennis tournament and international football.
