Bijeljina

The former Head of the RS Police Administration, Ljubisa Savic Mauzer was killed last night. According to unofficial information, at least two people participated in the murder. The RS police haven’t revealed any further details yet. All RS political parties and officials condemned this act of terrorism. Reported by Aleksandra Zdravkovic and Dragan Stanimirovic.

The SDA held a press conference today. “We voted for Tusevljak in order to stop the crisis, because our country needs a new Council of Ministers”, said Adnan Jahic, the SDA Spokesman. “The Parliament should appoint the new Presidency member after Izetbegovic’s withdrawal”, Jahic added. Damir Kaletovic produced the report.

Mostar

“Alija Izetbegovic had a significant role in development of B&H”, said Zoran Tomic, the HDZ Spokesman. “We feel that the elections for the appointment of the new Presidency member shouldn’t take place before October”, he added. The HDZ hopes that Tusevljak will closely co-operate with international officials and that ministers for the Council will be appointed soon. Reported by Blazica Kristo.

“Izetbegovic’s resignation will not influence the future work of the B&H Presidency”, said the Presidency member, Zivko Radisic. “By the appointment of Tusevljak as new Chairman of the Council of Ministers, B&H de-blocked the work of the Council”, Radisic added. According to today’s poll around B&H, citizens feel that elections should be organised, and that people should decide about Izetbegovic’s successor.

World

A regular semi-annual NATO session started in Brussels today. Analysis of the situation in B&H and Kosovo and the new American anti-rocket system will be some of the themes at the session.

The Russian Defence Minister, Igor Sergeiev condemned the FRY’s request for retreat of international forces from Kosovo.

The EU Co-ordinator for foreign politics, Javier Solana visited Pristina. He condemned attacks against Serbs in Kosovo.

A 48-hour-pre-election silence will start at midnight, before the local elections in Montenegro, which should take place on 11th of June, Amarildo Gutic confirmed from Podgorica.

The British Military Attaché in Greece, Stephen Saunders was killed

in Athens.

The RS Assembly session will take place on 12th of June. Delegates will discuss 23 points of the agenda, and analyse the government’s work during the last 2,5 years, Nedeljka Breberina confirmed from Banja Luka.

Although they were promised that their account would be unblocked and that they would receive salaries for March and April, employees of the Clinical Centre in Banja Luka haven’t given up the strike which they have announced for 15th June. Reported by Sanela Zivkovic.

Employees of the company “Ziko” from Zavidovici have been on strike for three days. The Board of the company had a session today. They called the employees to go back to work, and then to try and solve their problems. The report was produced by Mustafa Mujanovic.
