Brussels

Political directors of the South East European Pact of Stability discussed text of the final resolution for the Summit in Brussels today. All technical details have already been agreed.

Sarajevo

A report on the preparations for the Summit. The final version of the protocol will be finished tomorrow. It has been announced that planes of the G8 and EU countries’ leaders will land at Sarajevo airport. The BiH Foreign Minister and the President of the Organisation Board, Jadranko Prlic, confirmed for TV INFO that the preparations were going as planned. In Ohrid (Macedonia), trilateral discussion between the finance ministers of Macedonia, Bulgaria and Albania has begun. The ministers discussed the development of a joint financial plan for the implementation of infrastructure projects for South East Europe.

This was followed by a report on the reception made by the Slovenian Ambassador in BiH, Drago Mirosic, for three ambassadors whose mandates expired. The USA, Canadian and Bulgarian ambassadors leave BiH. A report on this was produced by OBN reporter, Adis Saranovic.

Banja Luka

A piece on the beginning of the first pilot project within the privatisation process of state companies to privatise in Banja Luka. The project is worth KM 300,000. A report on this was produced by OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Valentina Knezevic.

This was followed by a report on the social status of the pensioners in the RS where delivery of pensions for May has begun.

Prijedor

Medical staff from the Prijedor Municipality decided to go on strike due to unpaid salaries for the last five months, OBN reporter from Prijedor, Milena Letic-Joves, confirmed.

Kosovo

A report on the current events in Kosovo was presented. The funeral of the fourteen Serb farmers who were murdered in the Staro Gradsko village a few days ago was postponed due to the investigation that is currently going on.

World

A report on the current events in Cyprus was followed by reports from Iran and Nigeria.

Mostar

The Government of Switzerland donated funds for 38 flats that were handed over to the families that have returned from Switzerland to BiH. According to the agreement made between the representatives of the Swiss Government and the town of Mostar, the returnees will use flats in the next five years after which they would become the property of the Stari Grad Municipality.

Bosanska Gradiska

A report on the plan for the return of 16,000 Bosniaks to Bosanska Gradiska that has not been implemented as planned. In order to solve the problem, the town Office for Return, supported by the OSCE Office from Banja Luka, organised a meeting between the parliamentary parties’ representatives in Bosanski Petrovac. Posavina

A piece on the return to the Tramosnica village in the Posavina area. This is the beginning of bigger return of Croats to the area.

Doboj

A report on the public announcement for getting free construction sites in Doboj. This was done despite the decision of OHR.Two hundred and ninety construction sites will be handed over to the displaced persons who decided to stay in the RS.

Sarajevo / Banja Luka

A report on free optical examinations organized by the Spanish non-governmental organisation in Sarajevo was followed by a report on the free medicines for RS citizens, provided by a French humanitarian organisation.

Sport

A report on the Balkan Championship for juniors in athletics was followed by a report on international football and tennis.
