Banjaluka
“Merhamet” organised the round table in Banjaluka today. The President of “Merhamet”, Edah Becirbegovic, said that Bosniaks should return to the RS, although there were various problems, such as unemployment etc. The report for TV INFO was produced by Sanja Srdic.
Donja Bitunja
About 200 Bosniaks, who lived there before the war, returned to Donja Bitunja in RS. Houses are mostly destroyed, and the returnees appealed to the International Community for help, so that they could return to their homes as soon as possible.
Sarajevo
The pre-war inhabitants of Sarajevo settlements Dobrinja I and Dobrinja IV formed their association in Sarajevo two months ago. The Association representatives talked to the present inhabitants of these settlements, who are supposed to leave, so that the pre-war inhabitants could come back. Zavidovici
Round table took place in Zavidovici today. The main theme was providing basic conditions for return and integration of the displaced and refugees. The conclusion was that the results of return are not satisfactory, and that the Government, as well as the NGOs, should work on it. A month and a half ago, Husein Zivalj, the Deputy Foreign Minister of B&H sent a letter regarding the memorandum on changes of the Dayton Peace Accords, written by Haris Silajdzic to Embassies around the world. The Bosnian Presidency reacted to this two days ago. Zeljko Samardzija, adviser of Zivko Radisic, says that he had no right to do this. The report was produced by OBN journalist Damir Kaletovic.

B&H should have one Army and one source of financing. The Croatian President, Stjepan Mesic, feels that this is possible. The Croatian Ministry of Defense announced the results of an investigation on Croatian Soldiers, mostly members of HVO, who received double salaries. “Croatia will help B&H in other ways from now on, and not by buying weapons for them”, said Stjepan Mesic. At least two persons were killed in Karachi, a few hours before President Clinton’s arrival. Mr. Clinton appealed to Pakistan to have a more moderate attitude in their dispute with India about Kashmir. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that they continued air strikes against the remaining positions of Cecenian forces in southern Cecenia. About 500 000 observers will monitor the Presidential elections in Russia. About 108 million voters will come to the 94 polling stations around Russia. David Trimble was re-elected as Head of the Ulster Unionists. Pope John Paul II celebrated the mass in Nazareth, and after that he traveled to Jerusalem. Podgorica
The performance “Marko Miljanov” attracted a large number of visitors. It had to be performed with strong security measures. The demonstrators in front of the theatre, members of the Miljanovs tribe “Kuce”, demanded the performance to be cancelled. They claim that it unjustly portrays the Serb profile of Marko Miljanov. The demonstrations grew into a political gathering, but the performance took place anyway. Novak Kilibarda, the author of the drama says that there is no reason for such demonstrations. Pedagogical Institute of B&H announced the results of their evaluation of the work of educational Institutions in the Canton. The 10 best schools and teachers were promoted. Only 5 teachers was described as unsatisfactory, and their work will be monitored in the future as well. The report was produced by Ninoslava Kolar.

The exhibition of graphic design took place in the gallery “Cardea”
