Vienna A two day conference of the European social democrats is currently being held in Vienna. The main topic of their discussion is final preparations for the forthcoming summit. A report on this was sent by OBN journalist and editor, Jadranko Katana.
Sarajevo Representatives of both houses of the BiH Parliament discussed making BiH closer to the European integration and preparations for the Pact of Stability. OBN reporter, Damir Kaletovic, produced the report.
This was followed by a report from the session of the BiH Presidency. The Presidency met with the representatives of the EU who said that they support the establishment of the Permanent Military Committee Secretariat and suggested to the Presidency members to use the Summit for the promotion of BiH, OBN reporter, Sanjin Beciragic, confirmed.
OBN journalist and presenter, Duska Jurisic, had an interview with the Coordinator of the EU for the organisation of the Summit, Alpo Russi, who explained some details regarding the organisation of the Summit for TV INFO.
Banja Luka SFOR Commander, General Montgomery Meigs, and the President of the RS National Assembly met today in Banja Luka. The main topics of their discussion were the current situation in the RS and preparations for the Summit. A report on this was produced by OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Tatjana Lajsic.
Sarajevo A report on preparations of medical staff for the Summit. An operation headquarters has been established with representatives from ten different medical fields. A report was produced by OBN reporter, Sevko Bajic.
This was followed by a report on the visit of the Montenegrin Government delegation, headed by the Prime Minister, Filip Vujanovic, to Sarajevo.
After several unsuccessful attempts of the BiH Federation Parliament House of Peoples to adopt a law on the Federal Radio and TV, the High Representative will soon use its authority to make a decision on this. The Federal RTV will have two channels but they won’t be strictly divided nationally.
Sarajevo The BiH Federation Government held its session today without any concrete results, but announced that the Government has approved DEM 500,000 for the Summit.
Mostar A meeting of the joint Military Command in BiH was held today in Mostar. Generals of the BiH Federation, Republika Srpska and SFOR Multinational Division South East discussed possibilities for performing joint activities.
Kosovo A report on the current situation in Kosovo and Yugoslavia was produced by the OBN journalist, Gordana Frimel. Disarmament of the Kosovo Liberation Army continues.
Banja Luka A report on the issuing of passports in the RS was produced by the OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Suzana Vukcevic.
This was followed by a report on the first charter air line Moscow – Banja Luka – Moscow. Opening of other routes to Montenegro, Slovenia, Greece and Italy were announced.
Sarajevo A report on the visit of the Presidency member, Zivko Radisic, to the Serb Cultural Society “Prosvjeta” in Sarajevo. OBN reporter, Slobodan Maksimovic, produced the report.
Sport A report on the negotiations for the establishment of the BiH joint handball association was followed by a report on international athletics and the Tour de France.
