According to the Head of the UN Mission in B&H, Jacques Klein, General Ivan Andabak was connected with the murder of Jozo Leutar, the B&H Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. According to Croatian authorities, there were not enough proofs for Andabak’s arrest. Andabak’s lawyer announced that they would press charges against Jacques Klein. Reported by Damir Kaletovic.

The HDZ organised a press conference in Mostar, after the statement of Mr. Jacques Klein that recent arrests were connected with the murder of Jozo Leutar. The Deputy Chairman of HDZ, Marko Tokic called this “a negative campaign against the HDZ”. Mr. Tokic said that he hoped that results of the investigation would be publicly announced, in order to avoid any manipulations. The report was produced by Denis Vila.

Employees of the company “Polietilenka” have not received monthly salaries for three years. They organised several strikes, without any results. Local authorities promised that they would help the start of production, but this never happened. Anes Alic produced the report.

The company “UPI-SIMES” from Sarajevo is in a very difficult situation. Its employees are on waiting lists, and the company does not have money for severance pay. Employees announced that they would block the Canton Government building, if they do not solve their problem in 15 days. Reported by Svjetlana Celic.
Banja Luka
The RS Assembly adopted the new Law on Pension Insurance last night. They also adopted an amendment, according to which pensions would be balanced with increase of salaries in the RS, Dragan Stanimirovic reported.
“Many economic reforms are needed in B&H. We are putting an enormous pressure on Governments and the Parliament, and they do what they should do. I don’t think it is very wise that Mr. Tusevljak and Ms. Turkovic are enjoying themselves in Sydney, when they should be working.” Mr. Hand said. “I hope that people in this country will vote for a better system”, he added.

“The ICTY will never grant immunity for Slobodan Milosevic”, said the Main ICTY Prosecutor, Carla del Ponte.
Slobodan Milosevic visited Montenegro, accompanied by numerous security guards and units of the Yugoslav Army and Montenegrin police. He organised a final pre-election meeting in Berani.
The SNS and opposition will organise pre-election meetings this evening in Belgrade.
The US President, Bill Clinton demanded intervention of the International Community, if Milosevic stays in power by election fraud. Reported by Gordana Frimel.
“I believe that Milosevic is a failure. I think that he has a great influence on the RS politics, which is very unhealthy”, Ambassador Hand said.

The EU Commissioner, Chris Patten presented 18 directives, which would get B&H closer to European integration. Mr. Patten will visit B&H tomorrow, to see if a progress was made in implementation of the directives. International officials are not satisfied with moves of local authorities in this direction so far, Vedran Persic reported.
