A large opposition protest took place today in Belgrade, with the motto: “Against terror – for democratic elections”. Opposition party leaders addressed gathered citizens. They demanded Milosevic and his regime to resign. Reported by Danica Ilic from Belgrade.

The Federation Prime Minister, Edhem Bicakcic and the Union President, Sulejman Hrle signed the General Collective Contract today. Croat members of the Government were against signing of this contract. They said that Edhem Bicakcic did this self-willingly. The announced warning strike was cancelled. The High Representative in B&H, Wolfgang Petritsch is not satisfied with the process of return of flats owned by the state. His office reminded the pre-war owners of tenancy rights that the deadline for submitting requests is until Wednesday, 19th April.
Banja Luka
The RS Government is satisfied with results of the work inspection. Until today, 12 000 employees have been registered. The action will continue, said Durad Banjac, the RS Government Vice-president. The Government accepted privatisation proposals for two banks. Reported by Tatjana Lajsic.

The OSCE Spokesperson, Tanya Domi said that the Election Commission deprived Mr Pero Markovic (the HDZ), Mr Halid Cengic (the SDA) and Mr Tarik Tarsimamovic (the KTZ) of their mandates due to violation of the rule on incompatibility and conflict of interests. The SDP had a good election results in the Middle Bosnia Canton. Number of votes has increased by 87% from the last elections. Several SDP members were threatened and fired, within a process of intimidation, said Ivo Taraba, the SDP Election Headquarters Chairman for the Middle Bosnia Canton. Srebrenica
The international community is not satisfied with the work of municipality officials in Srebrenica. Although they received safety guarantees and their houses were reconstructed, they don’t come to their jobs. This causes problems in functioning of the municipality. The American Ambassador in B&H, Thomas Miller will visit Srebrenica next week. He expects the Bosniac refugees to move in their houses until then. The Law on the Council of Ministers will be fully applied after the appointment of the chairman, ministers and their deputies. The Council Chairman will probably be a Serb. One of candidates, Svetozar Mihajlovic said that he has no information on other candidates. Reported by Damir Kaletovic.

A round table took place in Banja Luka today. More than 50 judges and prosecutors, and the Ministry of judiciary representatives participated in it, discussing the RS relationship with the ICTY. The Association of the country defenders gathered in front of the Croatian National Assembly today. They protested against the government declaration for co-operation with the Hague Tribunal and demanded representatives in the Assembly to reject it.
