High Representative in Brussels: Meets EU and Belgian officials

The High Representative to BiH, Valentin Inzko is in Brussels over two days for meetings with EU and Belgian officials. The High Representative briefed his hosts on the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina in advance of the local elections. He said that after the encouraging start to the year, the challenges to the governments at State and Federation levels have resulted in no progress being made.

The High Representative emphasized today the excellent cooperation he has with the EUSR/EUD and the synergies that have developed between two offices. “The EU is playing an enhanced role in BiH” said the High Representative; “while I focus on the core Dayton mandate”.

Meeting with representatives of Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, and the Belgian Foreign Ministry, the High Representative expressed his gratitude for Belgium’s continued commitment to BiH.
