Marking 27 January, Holocaust Remembrance Day, High Representative Christian Schmidt laid a wreath at the Old Jewish Cemetery in memory of the victims.
He attended the Central Commemoration organized by the Jewish Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Jewish Municipality in Sarajevo.
“Today, we remember the millions of lives lost in the Holocaust. We share a collective duty to fight against hatred and division, to uphold human dignity, and to ensure the lessons of the past are not forgotten,” underscored Christian Schmidt.
