High Representative Appoints New Head of OHR Mostar
The High Representative, Paddy Ashdown, has appointed Russian diplomat Anatoly DmitriyevichViktorov as Head of OHR Regional Office Mostar.
Mr. Viktorov replaces Ambassador Jacques Andrieu. Until this appointment Mr. Viktorov was Deputy Head of OHR Regional Office Mostar.
In his letter appointing Mr. Viktorov the High Representative, drew attention to Mr. Viktorov’s extensive experience in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the commitment he has shown to the people of BiH.
Since graduating from Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1980, where he was also a lecturer, Mr. Viktorov has spent most of his career as a diplomat. His foreign service started in 1985 as First Secretary at the USSR Embassy in Angola. He also worked in New York as Senior Counsellor of the Russian Mission to the United Nations. Thereafter he was Head of the Crisis Management Division of the Department of International Organizations (2000-2002) and Deputy Director of the Department of International Organizations (2002-2003) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
Mr. Viktorov is married with two children.
