High Representative Christian Schmidt met with the UK Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Dame Karen Pierce, for an exchange of views on developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider Western Balkans.
The discussion reaffirmed the importance of sustained international engagement, which includes the Dayton institutions – the High Representative and EUFOR in supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress toward a sovereign, stable, and inclusive democracy, underlining that a functional and democratic Bosnia and Herzegovina is a key pillar of long-term peace and stability across the region.
