“It is indeed a pleasure and an honor to join the leaders of business and industry as we celebrate the opening of the 20th Tesanj Trade Fair.
Those of us in politics and diplomacy spend much of our lives studying or debating how “the pie” can be or should be divided.
The Tesanj Fair is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the entrepreneurs who labor instead to make the pie bigger, or to bake a second and a third pie.
Entrepreneurs:
- offer high-quality jobs to their fellow citizens,
- make the profits that drive economic growth
- pay the taxes that ensure the viability of our social safety net,
- and trade with neighboring states, raising living standards across the region and throughout the world.
I would like to thank all the organizers of this Fair, and the Embassy of the United States of America, this year’s national co-sponsor. Congratulations and best of luck to all the exhibitors at today’s Fair.”
